February 14th is coming up and you’re thinking, what should I do for Valentine’s Day? Read on and find out what 10 things to do on Valentine’s Day that won’t break the bank.

The key tip is don’t stress out to much because I’m sure your special someone will appreciate whatever you do, whether it’s a handmade gift or simply spending some quality time with one another. One day shouldn’t be the only day to express how you feel. Everyday should be Valentine’s Day! 😉

1. Plan and cook a nice dinner together.
Sit down and plan ahead a full course meal and get ready to help each other cook. Throw in some music to set the cooking mood.

2. Get dressed and have dinner at a fancy restaurant.
The fancy restaurant doesn’t have to be super expensive. Pick a spot that you both have been itching to try, but never got to. Remember to make those reservations ahead of time!

3. Have a picnic and watch the sunset.
Pack your favorite foods and snacks in a picnic basket, bring a blanket for when it gets chilly and find a nice spot to watch the sunset.

4. Take a salsa lesson together.
Don’t worry if you have two left feet! That’s the point, having fun and learning together. It doesn’t have be salsa either. If learning swing dance or ballroom dance is more your speed, go for it!

5. Sign up for a paint and wine class and bring out your artsy side.
Check out your local art classes and see what there’s to offer. Have fun getting messy with painting your own canvas then combining the two canvases to make one painting!

6. Relive your first date and reminisce.
Do you remember what was your first date like? Have fun rekindling and reliving that spark that started it all.

7. Have a staycation and explore old/new parts of your city.
Find out new hidden gems in your city and make an adventure out of it!

8. Plan an outdoor activity.
Try something you both haven’t done yet. It could be hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, etc.

9. Have a spontaneous mini road trip to the next closeby city.
Pick a city, get on the road and drive! Be spontaneous and stop and try what you initially see that caught your interest.

10. Go stargazing.
If you live in the city, stargazing might be a little tricky with all the bright lights. Try to find a place with less lighting, like the mountains or the beach. Bring some blankets and some hot chocolate or coffee in a thermos to keep yourselves warm.

I hope these ideas help you figure out what to do on Valentine’s Day! What are some of your favorite date ideas? Share it with me in the comments!
