Mt. Kramerspitz in Garmisch-Partenkirchen

A photo of the beautiful mountains in Garmisch-Partenkichen, Germany.

This mountain is Mt. Kramerspitz.

My roommate and I tried to hike it. Tried.

Here’s the short story. We looked at a map following the trail to the top of the mountain and stopped at the Stepbergalm Hütte, but only to realize we were no where near the top! Silly us.

Have you hiked up Mt. Kramerspitz? Tell me more about it in the comments!

  1. I was attending school there in 1979. I decided on a weekend to climb. I would have quit at the Gasthaus but I teamed up with some Germans. We went up. I was the tough U.S. Marine. The only reason I made the top was a woman who was 8 months pregnant with a huge white Alsatian made the climb look effortless. Actually the dog pulled her up. But she made it. I was not about to let her beat me. And the view from the top was absolutely worth it.

    1. Wow, that’s awesome you made it! That’s an accomplishment and I’m sure the view was worth it all! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
