Disneyland, the happiest place in the world! In 2017, AJ and I visited Tokyo and we also made it to our first time at Tokyo Disneyland! ❤
We arrived before 10am and purchased our 1-day admission tickets for ¥7,400 (~$66)! It was SO affordable compared to the Disneyland admission prices in California, which are getting close to $100. 🙁 We took everything in—the Easter decor, the people geared up in Disneywear and just being there—it was magical! Of course taking pictures here and there as we go, we made our way through the World Bazaar and to the Cinderella Castle.
It was fun seeing everyone decked out in their Disneywear—couples or groups of friends wearing the same things—it makes the experience so much more fun! Everyone seems to hang out in front of the castle taking pictures and sitting. Just be careful to watch and step around them. I was busy taking pictures and videos that I sometimes forget to look!
We planned what we wanted to ride and first on our list was Monster, Inc. Ride & Go Seek! AJ and I headed straight thereafter. When we checked out the fastpass and we would have had to come back at a later time when we won’t be there. So we opted into walking around the park first, finding what was on our to-eat list—pizza spring rolls! After our little snack, we walked a bit and found out what rides to wait for. Like any theme park, expect a long wait if you don’t have a fast pass!
If you’re curious about what foods we ate at Tokyo Disneyland, check out my previous post here!
Rides we rode
Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!
A long wait time, but we knew this because it’s one of the popular must-ride rides. Definitely a ride you should make at the top of your list. If you come early on and stay later, get a fast pass and come back for the ride to avoid the long wait.
Pirates of the Caribbean
The wait time wasn’t so long from what I remembered. It moved along like a normal line would so that made things more bearable. The ride was pretty much the same as the one in Disneyland and in English.
Haunted Mansion
We waited the longest for this ride. It was pretty much the same as the Disneyland in California, but still worth it.
The Easter Parade
Usatama on the Run! We heard the catchy music when we entered Disneyland and all throughout walking the park. At that time, we wondered what it was. Now, listening back to the song, it was all about Usatama, the Rabbit Egg on the run! It didn’t click until I started putting together the videos of our Tokyo Disneyland trip and why they were saying Usatama. ‘Usa’ for usagi (rabbit in Japanese) and ‘tama’ for tamago (egg in Japanese)! We caught bits of the parade on our way out and it was entertaining watching the different floats decked out in Usatama and the performers.
Disneyland makes you feel like a kid again and it never gets boring! We would’ve loved to spend a whole day to experience and explore all that Tokyo Disneyland had to offer, but with being in Japan for 2 weeks, we had other things to see on our list. I’d recommend going here if you haven’t been. Next time, we’ll visit Tokyo DisneySea!!
