This mountain is Mt. Kramerspitz.
My roommate and I tried to hike it. Tried.
Here’s the short story. We looked at a map following the trail to the top of the mountain and stopped at the Stepbergalm Hütte, but only to realize we were nowhere near the top! Silly us.

August 3, 2017 at 7:39 pmI was attending school there in 1979. I decided on a weekend to climb. I would have quit at the Gasthaus but I teamed up with some Germans. We went up. I was the tough U.S. Marine. The only reason I made the top was a woman who was 8 months pregnant with a huge white Alsatian made the climb look effortless. Actually the dog pulled her up. But she made it. I was not about to let her beat me. And the view from the top was absolutely worth it.
