I wanted to put together an easy costume that didn’t require much to do. If you’re like me, I like buying clothes that I can use more than once, especially for costumes.
Here’s what I bought to create the Wenda look.
Top:
Red & white striped long sleeve shirt (~$15 at H&M)
Bottoms: An old pair of capri jeans that I had cut up and hemmed (I used Secretlifeofabionerd’s video for this. Unfortunately, she removed it, but I’m sure there are plenty others out there to follow. It’s simple to do.)
Leggings: Maroon DKNY leggings ($4 at Ross! I didn’t want striped leggings. I don’t think they’d be wearable every day. This is totally up to you though.)
Shoes: Brown American Eagle boots (~$15 at Payless. I had these lying around for years.)
Glasses: Black reading glasses ($1 at Target! I love their clearance section. I punched out the lenses.)
Necklace: Plain golden necklace ($6 at Wal-Mart)
Camera: A gift from my friend 😉 She got them at Urban Outfitters! What’s cool about them is that it has a flash. It doesn’t take pictures though.
Beanie: I bought Arctic fleece fabric from Yardage Town (~$8. Watch Secretlifeofabionerd’s video here. To make the red ball, follow the instructions for here! You’re just making Kirby’s body. Stuff it with fleece scraps.)
And that’s all to it! I hope this will inspire you all to create your own version of Wenda’s costume. Now, go and find your Waldo!

December 4, 2013 at 6:04 amHi!
You could do some searching online on different stores, in-store and online, but I found it easier to just make my own hat. If I remember correctly, I was able to make two hats out of the fleece fabric I bought and I still had some left over fabric. Plus you get an awesome feeling that you're wearing something that you made.
Good luck to ya! Thanks for your comment.
