Sensory bottles are fun for babies and they’re easy to make!
As an Infant teachers, every month we have to get ready for our monthly curriculum with the infants. Yes! They do curriculum, aside from eating, pooping, and sleeping. 🙂
July was about weather and decided it might be fun for the babies to have sensory bottles for the four seasons! They’re very curious and most anything will keep them entertained, you’d be surprised.
Why would the babies like it? It’s all about sensory! It helps them learn through sight, sound, and touch.
Now, let’s get started!
To make this easy sensory bottle project for your kiddos you’ll need:
  • 4 empty bottles (I used Gatorade bottles)
  • Artificial Fall Leaves
  • Artificial Snow
  • Artificial Spring colored flowers
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Yellow pom pom
  • Seashells
  • Sand
  • Blue beads
  • Water
  • Hot glue or crazy glue
  • Scissors
Step 1.
Clean the empty bottles and let them dry.

Step 2.

Fill the empty bottles with the appropriate seasonal items. For the pipe cleaners, use the scissors to cut into smaller pieces to resemble rain and grass. Use the scissors to trim off the ends of the leaves to use as branches.

Step 3.

Fill bottles with water. I filled mine all the way to the top. A tip for the summer bottle is to rinse the sand out a few times to have clearer water.

Step 4.

Get your hot glue gun hot and start applying glue to the cap, then quickly twist it on the bottle to seal it shut.

And there you have it! Homemade sensory bottles for your babies. Watch your little ones be amazed!
